Oh My Darling is off to the UK!
Today we set sail for our second leg of our European tour as we cross the channel to the UK.
We've spent the last two and a half weeks in mainland Europe, and boy, did we have a good time! We climbed the Alps in Austria, went swimming in the pristine waters of Evian (France), jumped in the canals of the Netherlands, ate delicious food, drank regional wine and met so many great people along the way. We're excited to find out what our UK adventures entail!

Oh My Darling June touring kick-off, Summer Canadian Festivals and Europe!
We are hanging our best dresses on the line, slapping on some new strings, and packing up the van for a busy summer of exciting tours and festivals! This weekend we are kicking things off with a tour through Ontario and Quebec for a few dates at some of our favourite Canadian spots and some new and exciting places to see and explore too! We'll be returning to Montreal for Le Festival Fringe, to Picton and Hamilton Ontario and our first time at the Tottenham Bluegrass Festival! Then we pack it all up and head West to Lethbridge, AB bringing some Franco-Manitobain tunes to the St. Jean Baptiste Festival, a free festival performance in Pavan Park June 21st. Mariposa Folk Festival is our next stop July 5-7th. This will be our first time at Mariposa, we have heard so much about it over the last few years as one of Canada's best Folk Festivals, we are giddy with excitement for this one. And then for our biggest send-off yet!
We are completely OVER THE MOON excited to be kicking off the Winnipeg Folk Festival's 40th Year Festival with a Mainstage performance on Wednesday July 10th!! This will be an amazing weekend of music, friends and art, a beautiful send off before we head overseas for a 6 week European tour including dates throughout Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Scotland, England, Austria and more!!!!
Farewell to our Darling Rosie
After 5 and a half amazing years together we are sad to announce that our friend and fantastic fiddler Rosalyn is moving on from Oh My Darling. From our first jam session to playing mainstage at this year's Winnipeg Folk Festival, we have so many great memories together. It has been a wonderful journey to make music, perform and travel with Rosalyn and we wish her well and the greatest success. We love you will miss you Rosie!

Oh My Darling has just landed in Europe and is beginning our 7 week summer tour today in Trittau Germany. We would like to welcome two new faces and fiddlers to the Oh My Darling stage. For the first leg of our European tour we are bringing the amazing Nashville based Rachel Baiman with us, and for our second half we will hit the stage with the wonderful New York based Hannah Read. We look forward to the new adventures with Rachel and Hannah!
We are excited for a summer of fantastic shows throughout Europe and the UK, many more stories to come!

This just in! Winnipeg Folk Festival Presents: Oh My Darling Live in Concert at the West End Cultural Centre! The concert is in celebration of the release of our francophone EP Venez danser, and will feature songs from the new album, as well as all your Oh My Darling favourites! The big event will take place on Saturday, January 26th, 2013 at 8:00PM (doors at 7:15PM), and TICKETS ARE ON SALE TODAY! Venez Danser is the latest release by the stellar Canadian all-female roots quartet Oh My Darling. After returning from a busy summer of festivals, headlining two international tours, and releasing their second full length album Sweet Nostalgia, Oh My Darling is happy to announce the release of their very first album comprised of entirely French material. The 6-song EP is a collection of the French material the gals have been performing and recording over the last four years, and features Oh My Darling's unique talent for combining intricately arranged traditional music with beautiful original material.

We've been having a great fall with the release of our new EP Venez Danser. The Quebec release tour this September was such a success. We had a ball getting to open for the fabulous Lisa LeBlanc, and our packed showcase at POP Montreal was so fun! Check out our video from Magog, with the amazing Frank Evans filling in for our Darling Allison while she has been studying banjo at the Berklee College of Music in Boston! Luckily she skipped some school to come join us at POP, and the Western Canadian Music Awards, and Breakout West Festival in Regina, which was a great weekend of music and industry events. Oh My Darling was nominated for Best Roots Album for Sweet Nostalgia, and had some really fun showcases that were filled to the rafters with good people!
We are so excited to get all the gals together for a weekend of shows in Manitoba this November. On the 2nd we'll be out in Pinawa, and on the 3rd we're heading to Cypress River. The rest of the time we'll be busy writing and rehearsing, gearing up for a massive concert presented by the Winnipeg Folk Festival, at the West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg. There will be loads of special guests and tricks up our sleeve, accompanied by a West Coast tour, and it's all happening this January. We'll be posting dates at www.ohmydarling.ca/live so stay tuned!

Oh My Darling has just returned from a whirlwind of a tour of Quebec to Releasing our brand new EP en francais, Venez Danser! We'd like to give a grande merci to all the fabulous people that came out to our shows, and helped make this tour a success. A huge highlight for us was getting to play with the very talented Lisa Leblanc. WOW does she ever know how to rock!! We also had such a great time playing the POP Montreal festival, and really enjoyed getting to hear so much good music around one of the countries most beautiful cities!
This Thursday we are heading to Regina for the Breakout West Festival, and the Western Canadian Music Awards! Our album Sweet Nostalgia is nominated for Roots Album of the Year, and we are so honoured to be sharing the nomination with the many good friends (and great bands!!) in our category. If you're going to the festival, or in and around the Regina area, we are playing at THE CLUB on Friday Sept 28th at 11PM, and Saturday Sept 29th at CRAVE at 10PM.

Hello Friends!
Oh My Darling is just back from a whirlwind tour through Denmark, and Reedy Creek, Manitoba for Asham Stomperfest. We got to play with some amazing artists, including Dirk Powell on fiddle, Tim O'Brien on the mandolin, playing A La Claire Fontaine with Le Vent du Nord, Singing with David Francey in Adam Cohen's All-Canadian choir, Brittany Haas (fiddle) and Nic Gareiss hopping on stage with us at Stomperfest, we really couldn't have had more fun!! Now we're packing our bags for a 2-week tour of Quebec to promote our brand new EP Venez Danser. (see below for tour dates!).
Venez Danser is the latest release by Oh My Darling, and is a six track EP done entirely in the French language. It is a collection of previously recorded material from the albums In The Lonesome Hours and Sweet Nostalgia, along with brand new original material recorded with the fabulous Norman Dugas in St Boniface. Influenced by the Franco-Metis culture of Manitoba, the album is partially inspired by the life of Metis leader and founder of Manitoba; Louis RIel. Using poetry written by Riel, and themes from his life and the Franco-Manitoban/Metis culture, Oh My Darling has written original music that harkens to the past while being unique and provocative.
Oh My Darling would like to send a huge congratulations to our amazing banjoist Allison de Groot, who has been awarded a full four-year scholarship on banjo to Berklee College of Music, in Boston!! We couldn't be more proud and excited! During the school year Allison will be joining the band on-stage whenever we can get her to play hookey, and when things are heating up at Berklee, we'll have the fantastic and talented Frank Evans (Slocan Ramblers) join us as an honorary 'Darling' this fall!
Just back from our second tour of Europe this year, and with a new CD coming out, Oh My Darling is entering into busy times! We can't wait to bring our music to all sorts of new places, and revisit those places we've played and loved.
We've made a lot of good memories this summer, thanks to the support and love from people all around the world. The fans and friends and musicians we have met along the way have made this a summer we will always remember.

Hello Oh My Darling fans!
Oh My Darling is having a great time on our tour of Denmark. We just wrapped up playing at the Tønder Festival, where we got to share the stage with some amazing friends, Adam Cohen, Dirk Powell, Tim O'Brien, Christian Dugas, Eliza Gilkynson, Le Vent du Nord, and many more! The weather was great, the audiences were fantastic, and there were plenty of tunes to share with wonderful musicians!
We will be in Denmark for one more week and then heading back home to Canada, check out our videos and pictures from our most recent adventures, and don't forget to look at our LIVE link for all our upcoming concert dates.

Oh My Darling
Hello Oh My Darling fans!
We've just arrived home to Canada after an amazing 11-week tour of Europe. We performed for fabulous folks in Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Ireland, and France, and made some great music and friends at every stop along the way! We couldn't have asked for a more succesful tour, and could not have done it without the amazing support of our friends and fans all over Europe, so a big Oh My Darling THANK YOU to all those we have been lucky enough to share our music and time with.
Now that we are back in the summer heat of Winterpeg, there is barely time to slap a mosquito before heading into the recording studio to work on our upcoming French EP Venez Danser, to be released this fall. The new album is written entirely in French and will feature new and used songs we've been playing over the last four and a half years. Stay tuned for news about our release dates, and we'll be sure to keep you updated on our EP release tour.
The Canadian festival season is well underway, and Oh My Darling is diving in headfirst, with the Altona Sunflower Festival, Red Rock Music Festival, Summerfolk, Asham Stomperfest, and we are very excited to annouce that for the first time in a long time, we are doing a performance in our dear hometown of Winnipeg! The Winnipeg Folk Festival is presenting Oh My Darling in Old Market Square as a part of their lunchtime concert series on August 14th at 12PM. We can't wait to play for an audience of very familiar faces, and share some of the music we have been working on over these last few months abroad.
Throughout this last tour in Europe audiences have been asking us when we plan to return, and the answer is: "right away!". Oh My Darling is heading over to Denmark to play the Tønder Festival, August 24-26th. We will be in the good company of many of our favourite Canadian musicians, including New Country Rehab, the Deep Dark Woods, David Francey, and Le Vent du Nord. Oh My Darling
Well hello there!
Summer is in full bloom, and we have been having a blast touring all over Europe. We've got some exciting news, contests, and new dates added to our summer tours to share with you. But first, we'd like to say a big thank you to all the people that have been coming out and supporting live music. Summer is full of cabins, beaches and football championships, we are so pleased that so many of you have come to spend some of your summertime with us!
We have added some new dates to the Oh My Darling European Tour 2012. We are very excited to be added to the great line-up at the North Atlantic Fiddle Convention in Donegal Ireland (our fiddler is particularly excited!), and have booked some gigs around the island on July 2nd in Sligo and July 3rd in Galway. Then we return to the Netherlands July 6th for a show in Spijkerboor. We'll get to see Marie-Josée flaunt her native language as we tour in France before winding up at the Mirande Festival in the south of France. Back to Canada we head to play the Altona Sunflower Festival, Red Rock Folk Fest, and Summerfolk, then back to Europe for a couple weeks with a tour around the Tønder Festival in Denmark. We still have many more concerts coming up, so if you haven't seen Oh My Darling in Europe, (or if you can't wait to see us again!) then there are plenty of opportunities!
So the big news is: Sweet Nostalgia has been nominated for a WESTERN CANADIAN MUSIC AWARD for BEST ROOTS ALBUM! We are so excited to share the nomination with close colleagues of ours, and are looking forward to the awards ceremony and Breakout West Festival in Regina this fall.
